Subscription Plans#
MenuM8 offers three subscription plans. All plans include a 14-day free trial.

Basic Plan#
Best For: Small cafés, food trucks, home businesses
Includes:
- Core features (inputs, products, costings)
- Shopping lists and job sheets
- Menu generation with allergens
Pro Plan#
Best For: Restaurants, catering companies, larger cafés
Includes everything in Basic, plus:
- Higher limits (500 inputs/products)
- Up to 5 users
- Priority support
Enterprise Plan#
Best For: Large restaurants, multi-location operations
Includes everything in Pro, plus:
- Unlimited inputs and products
- Up to 10 users
- Dedicated support
Choosing the Right Plan#
Consider:
- Number of ingredients: How many inputs do you need?
- Number of recipes: How many products will you create?
- Team size: How many people need access?
Start with the plan that fits your current needs. You can upgrade anytime.

Checking Your Usage#
View current usage in Account settings:
- See usage vs limits (e.g., "45/100 inputs")
- Warning displayed when approaching limits
What Happens at the Limit?#
- Cannot create new items
- Must delete items or upgrade to continue
- Existing items remain accessible and editable
Managing Usage#
When approaching limits:
- Delete unused/duplicate items
- Or upgrade your plan
Tips:
- Delete discontinued ingredients
- Remove test/draft recipes
- Archive seasonal items you're not using
Free Trial#
What You Get#
All plans include a 14-day free trial:
- Full access to all features
- Full plan limits
- No charge during trial
- No obligation to continue
Starting Your Trial#
- Create a MenuM8 account
- Select a plan
- Enter payment information (not charged until trial ends)
- Start using MenuM8 immediately
Payment Information: A card is required to start the trial but won't be charged until the 14-day period ends.
What Happens When Trial Ends#
If you do nothing:
- Trial converts to paid subscription
- Card is charged
- Access continues uninterrupted
To avoid charges:
- Go to Account → Subscription
- Click Cancel before trial ends
- Access continues until trial end date
- No charge occurs
Upgrading Your Plan#
When to Upgrade#
Consider upgrading when:
- Approaching or at input/product limits
- Need more user accounts
- Business is growing
Upgrade Paths#
Basic → Pro:
- Inputs: 100 → 500
- Products: 100 → 500
- Users: 1 → 5
Pro → Enterprise:
- Inputs: 500 → Unlimited
- Products: 500 → Unlimited
- Users: 5 → 10
How to Upgrade#
- Go to Account settings
- Click Change Plan or Upgrade
- Select your new plan
- Confirm upgrade
- New limits apply immediately
Immediate Access: Upgrades take effect instantly. You can start using new limits right away.
Billing#
When upgrading mid-cycle:
- You pay the difference for the remaining time (pro-rated)
- Next billing cycle charges the full new plan price
Subscription Status#
Status Types#
Your subscription can be in one of these states:

| Trialing | Free trial period, not yet charged |
| Past Due | Payment failed, system retrying |
| Canceled | Will end at period end, won't renew |
Checking Your Status#
- Go to Account → Subscription
- View current plan, status, and next renewal date
Resolving Payment Issues#
If your payment fails:
- Check email for notification
- Go to Account → Billing
- Update payment method
- System retries payment
- Status returns to Active
Resolve Quickly: Past due status can lead to limited access. Update your payment method promptly.
Reactivating After Cancellation#
Before subscription period ends:
- Go to Account → Subscription
- Click Reactivate Subscription
- Auto-renewal resumes
Canceling Your Subscription#
Before You Cancel#
- Having issues? Visit our Support Page first
- Need fewer features? Consider changing to a lower plan
- Export your data before canceling
How to Cancel#
- Go to Account → Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm cancellation
- Access continues until end of billing period
- No further charges
What Happens After#
- Access continues until period ends
- No refund for remaining time
- Data preserved for a grace period
- After grace period, data may be deleted
Export First: Always export your data before canceling. Once access ends, retrieving data may not be possible.
Resubscribing Later#
You can subscribe again anytime:
- Data restored if within grace period
- After grace period, start fresh
Payment Methods#
Accepted Methods#
- Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
- Debit cards
Payments processed securely via Stripe.
Updating Payment Method#
- Go to Account → Billing
- Click Update Payment Method
- Enter new card details
- Click Save
Tip: Update your card before it expires to avoid payment failures.
Common Questions#
Will I be charged during the free trial?#
No. You're not charged until the 14-day trial ends.
Can I cancel anytime?#
Yes. Cancel at any time from Account settings. Access continues until your paid period ends.
Can I change plans anytime?#
Yes. Upgrades are immediate. Changes to a different plan take effect at your next billing cycle.
Do I get a refund if I cancel?#
Typically no, but you keep access until the end of your paid period.
What if I exceed my limits?#
You can't create new items until you delete items or upgrade. Existing items remain accessible.
Can I pause my subscription?#
Currently, subscriptions can only be active or canceled. Contact support for special circumstances.
